Shiv joined the group in August 2020. He is currently exploring phase field fracture modelling for brittle and cohesive damage with a view to investigate complex multiscale response of laminated composites.
Mohit joined our group in August 2021. He is keen on developing efficient civil structures and exploring the rich field of structural and topology optimization in this regard.
Parvez joined our group in December 2021.
From a background in Aerospace Engineering, Vishnu Priya joined our group in July 2022. She will be exploring the modelling of composites in a multi-physical environment.
Ananya worked on the fracture behaviour of architected lattice materials. He developed a reduced dimensional phase-field fracture model for efficient simulation of fracture in a lattice and designed schemes to probe anisotropic fracture toughness in lattice materials. He formulated a consistent multi-phase-field model for anisotropic brittle fracture. Additionally, he also worked in the area of finite deformation plasticity and ductile damage modelling through phase-field fracture mode.
Dhriti investigated the damage behaviour of FRP lamina.
Kushagra worked on the multiscale mechanics of reinforced concrete structures.
Vivek's research focused on the collapse mechanisms of sandwich beams and plates made of metallic foam and lattice core materials.
