This privacy policy governs your use of the mobile application "Mamosta Halo's Official App" (hereinafter referred to as the "Application").
1. Information Collection and Account Usage
The Application offers both public guest access and registered user access:
- Guest Access: Users can browse and access public educational content without registering, logging in, or providing any personal information.
- Registered Accounts: Users may request an account via our official support bot. Accounts are created manually with a username and password.
- Activity Tracking: For logged-in users, the Application may log user interaction data (such as watched video history and lecture progress) strictly to provide a personalized learning experience and save your viewing progress across sessions. We do not sell, rent, or trade this data with any third parties.
2. Account Deletion and Data Retention
We respect your right to manage and delete your personal data. In full compliance with App Store guidelines, users have the right to request the complete deletion of their account and associated data:
- How to Request Deletion: Users can submit an account deletion request directly within the Application via the "Request Account Deletion" option, providing their username and optional feedback/reason.
- Processing: Once submitted, your request is reviewed by our administration team. Upon confirmation, your account credentials, login access, and all associated activity records (including viewing history) will be permanently deleted from our database.
- Alternative Method: You may also directly contact our support team via Telegram (@MamostaHaloSupportbot) or email to request immediate data deletion.
3. Third-Party Services
The Application utilizes trusted third-party services solely to support core functionalities:
- Supabase: Used as a secure database backend to manage educational content, public articles, streaming metadata, and authenticated user profiles/activity logs.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Used to deliver real-time push notifications regarding new lectures, announcements, and content updates using anonymous device tokens.
- YouTube: The Application embeds and streams public educational videos hosted on YouTube. By viewing this content, you agree to YouTube’s Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy.
4. Device Permissions
To function properly, the Application may request the following permissions:
- Internet Access: Required to fetch lectures, stream multimedia content, and sync account progress.
- Notifications: Required if you opt in to receive announcements and new content alerts.
- Storage / Media Access: Required solely if you choose to download educational PDFs, audio files, or media directly to your device storage.
5. Children's Privacy
The Application provides general educational and religious content and does not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect updates in app functionality or regulatory requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
