How much does a lesson cost?

Lessons vary in price based on lesson length.

Thirty minute lessons are $35 each

Forty five minute lessons are $55 each

Sixty minute lessons are $75 each

Payment is expected on the first of every month via either cash or check. Our cancellation policy is to provide a 24 hours notice or no refund can be made.

How is Progress monitored?

Every student learns differently and requires different tools to succeed, and I am dedicated to personalizing my lessons to fit each student's needs.

Nothing is more rewarding to me as a teacher than seeing my students grow as musicians! This is why progress is always a priority and celebrated in my lessons. Though my teaching style is relaxed, I am committed to helping and encouraging you achieve your musical goals. This may look like a reward system; for every ten songs a student masters they get to choose one fun song to learn, for example. Or this may look like stickers for the younger kids (and older ones too!)

Lessons can also be done with the Faber Piano Adventure In Music book series. This series monitors progress based on levels and as the student learns, they move up levels.

do you teach preschoolers?

Yes, I have worked with students as young as three with great success!

However, the lesson structure does vary greatly compared to other age groups. Instead of learning how to play the piano or sing, I provide play based music theory lessons, this allows kids to learn basic rhythm and music theory in a fun and relaxed environment! That way, when kiddo is a bit older and has more finger strength and dexterity they can already read music! This helps give kids a great head start with any instrument they may decide to play, and is a wonderful creative outlet!

How does composition help work?

My goal is to provide supportive educational theory based instruction to help guide my students towards their desired musical outcome.

Composition work is one of my favorite things to teach because of how personalized it is! We start by delving into what you, as the student, want to create; genre, style, song structure, lyrics, ect. Then each lesson we work together towards creating your song!
