Las Abuelas
Abuelitas play a vital role in preserving family history and traditions, sharing stories of past generations. Our family recipes have been passed down from generation to generation. Salvadoran cuisine is a vibrant mix of indigenous and Spanish influences, with corn, beans, and pork as staples. The most iconic dish is the pupusa, a thick, handmade tortilla filled with various ingredients like cheese, meat, or beans, often served with curtido (pickled cabbage slaw) and salsa. Other popular dishes include yuca frita (fried cassava), panes rellenos (stuffed sandwiches), and various soups and seafood dishes.
