At Malayalees of Kennesaw State University, we provide a home away from home for students who share a connection to Kerala and its culture. Founded to bring together Malayalee students and those with an interest in South Indian heritage, MOKSU serves as a platform for cultural exchange, community building, and personal connection within the KSU student body.

Our Mission
MOKSU exists to:
Preserve and promote awareness of Malayalee culture, language, and traditions within the university community
Provide a supportive network for Malayalee students, particularly those transitioning to university life
Organize cultural celebrations that reflect the customs of Kerala, including Onam and Vishu
Encourage cross-cultural understanding by welcoming members of all backgrounds
Cultivate leadership, community involvement, and lasting friendships among members

What to Expect at Meetings
Meetings are open to all students, regardless of prior familiarity with Malayalee culture. Members can expect:
Updates on upcoming events and organizational initiatives
Cultural programming centered on Kerala's traditions, language, and history
Community-building activities designed to foster friendship
Celebrations of major cultural events, such as Onam and Christmas

We welcome all students interested in learning about or connecting with Malayalee culture. No prior knowledge of the Malayalam language or Kerala traditions is required to join.
