If you've seen me at a conference or in a lecture hall audience, you've most likely seen me fiddling with yarn while watching the presentation. Knitting helps me concentrate (after developing the skill of knitting without looking), but it's also served as an important marker in my life. Whether it be a scarf knit to wear at my master's defense, or wool dyed by local artists in a town I've just moved to, I've found each year is defined just as much by my works-in-progress of knitting as it is research. If you're interested in knit creations I post about it on instagram (link below), or if you see me knitting in the wild say hi!Â
