Malika is an artist and poet from Miami, Florida. She received her MA in English Literature and History from the University of Edinburgh in 2025. Her work has been published in The Inkwell and will be in The Hajar Book of Rage in October 2025. She has been short listed twice for the Grierson Verse Prize.
Malika started writing poetry in 2022 after getting longlisted for the Grierson Verse Prize. She is currently working on a zine of nature poems, Dust, inspired by her time living in both Miami and Scotland. She is interested in the intersection between design and poetry, particularly in the creation of literary magazines and zines.Â
