Notes

This mixed media piece integrated the tessellation concept of a repeated ceramic form along with thin bronze metal rods. These two textures add contrast to one another and hold each other in place. The arrangement of the spiral pieces was inspired by that of musical notes on a treble/bass clef. The title "notes" also carries the meaning of individual thoughts scribbled across the lines of a notebook, reflective of the exterior texture of the clay. These pieces were mounted at two different angles.
