In September 2024, a huge data breach of the website led to the leak of 31 million internet archive users' information, such as their email addresses, passwords, and more.

Pixlr is a free online photo editing website and application, and is often used as an alternative to Photoshop since it has a lot of the same features.
In January 2021, a hacker leaked the user records of 1.9 million Pixlr users on an online forum. The records consisted of email addresses, login names, passwords, user countries, and more. This information can be used for phishing attacks and credential stuffing attacks. The hacker also breached a stock photo site owned by the same company as Pixlr, and many more websites.
The article strongly suggests all Pixlr users to change their passwords.
