Privacy Policy for Mala Jaap

Jupiter Tech ("we," "us," or "our") built the Mala Jaap app as a Free app. This SERVICE is provided by Bidhex Technology at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

1. Information Collection and Use

Mala Jaap does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) to external servers.

All data generated by the app — including bead counts, mala counts, mantra preferences, session history, audio preferences, theme settings, and game scores — is stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this data and it is never uploaded to any server.

We do not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information to use this app.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The app stores the following data locally on your device using on-device storage (SharedPreferences and Hive database):

• Chanting session data: Bead count, mala count, session duration, and date

• User preferences: Selected mantra, selected background, theme mode (dark/light), language preference, audio mute state, and selected audio track

• Onboarding status: Whether you have completed the initial setup

• Game scores: Scores from the mini-games (Divine Catcher, Memory Game, Aura Pop)

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible by us or any third party.

3. Third-Party Services

The app does not use any third-party services that collect information used to identify you. Specifically:

• ❌ No Google Analytics

• ❌ No Firebase Analytics

• ❌ No Facebook SDK

• ❌ No advertising SDKs or ad networks

• ❌ No crash reporting tools that collect personal data

• ❌ No user tracking or behavioral analytics

4. Log Data

We do not collect log data. In the event of an error in the app, the error information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

This app does not use cookies.

6. Permissions

The app may request the following device permissions:

This app does not specifically target children under the age of 10. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. Since the app does not collect any personal information from any user, there is no risk of children's data being collected.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• To delete your data: Simply uninstall the app from your device. All locally stored data (preferences, session history, game scores) will be permanently deleted.

• To reset your data: You can clear the app's storage from your device's Settings → Apps → Mala Jaap → Storage → Clear Data.

We do not retain any data on our servers because we do not collect any data.

9. Data Security

We value your trust. Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data depends on your device's own security features (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device software up to date and using a secure lock screen.

This Service may contain links to other sites (e.g., sharing features). If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites.
