Malachi Carroll

I'd like to start off and say I don't know what the field of engineering I plan on going into or what my plan is if I had to chose an interest it would probably be somewhere into the world of medical technology . It's just an idea right now, but hospital tools ,machines , or prosthetics interest me. The inspiration for this interest would have to be my love for helping people and wanting to better lives. I gained interest in 10th grade when I was registering for the Tec Center Engineering Program. It was one of my first choices. I joined with the interest of the thought of making and designing new projects.

I have taken courses that I think will benefit me in this program and in whatever field of engineering I plan on going into. Principles of Business Management is one and, as you know, the Forest Tech Center's Engineering Program is another. The one thing I say I enjoyed the most learning about was the design process. Learning the whole design process was fun especially because it was my third time learning it all; so, I already had a good understanding for it. A lesson l will hold for a long time and a important one in the engineering field that I will use a lot in the future.

There is not a lot of experience under my belt. I plan on getting as much a I can through this Tech Center program. I also joined and ran for an office position for skills USA. Although I did not win, I plan on running again in my second year in the program. The reason I joined Skills USA is because I was intrigued by the idea of going and attending seminars. I plan to learn a lot from them and maybe participate in the competitions. Outside of school, I play basketball which had taught me a lot over the years. I learned self control, team work, and perseverance. Another reason I joined skill USA was because I thought it be a great way to find right career path. I have never been employed but would like to work in retail or get an apprenticeship .

I believe that I will get all the knowledge and experience to go into the workforce immediately after graduation . I'd like to become an a apprentice at a big company, maybe get a paid internship, continue my education and further my resume with a college diploma, or obtain work training for the field I chose to go into. If I am required then I will do what is necessary to learn new skills in work training or continue education elsewhere. Planning to go into the workforce is the idea right now. I plan to start my career and build it as soon as possible .

Not really sure what my impact will be on my community, society, or the world, but I hope to have invented or have done something. I believe whatever I do will change and improve those lives around me and around the world. I also hope to help expand technology in our society so that it will have an impact on the world of technology as a whole rather than a select group of people. Yes I believe that I can impact the world in a positive way by helping to improve the quality of care and treatment for all.
