Game Day
Students designed board games for Chinese class in order to review grammar and vocabulary concepts they chose to focus on. In addition to integrating artistry and game design, they also coded microcontrollers to dictate game play. At the end, they presented their games to the class and then played each other's games. Super fun!
Culture Bling
Here's a ring that a student made based on Incan art. Language learners can draw symbols from cultures they are studying, then quickly turn them into 3D printed rings or pendants.
Quiz Game
With a little coding, students can create touch-interactive quiz games for each other to play. Make multiple choice games based on vocabulary, grammar, geography, and culture.
Speaking Pinball
So many creative ways for students to use vocabulary and concepts in crafting a language-themed pinball adventure!
Retro Language Game
Students can create custom video games from scratch or by modifying examples. Can we find ways to support language and culture studies by constructing these games?
Say it with Light
Light up projects like these can illuminate art, a person, or a concept associated with the language of study. Maybe a number of these could tell a story together?
