The aim of the Makhel lecture series is to understand the history of the Nagas. Specialists of the Trans-Himalayan studies, from diverse disciplines, are invited to discuss their findings—with special reference on the Nagas.

Why Makhel?
Based on folklores, many Naga tribes accept `Makhel’ as their final settlement place, before they moved to their present villages; the location `Makhel' is in Makhel village, Senapati, Manipur. Migration routes of the Nagas, prior to Makhel, are not recorded.
Platform: Zoom meeting (a zoom link will be sent to the participants' registered email)
NB: Registration is open to all (free registration). Scholars working on Naga culture and language are particularly welcome. Special consideration will be given to ACI faculties and students.
