Survey Junkie offered me paid surveys shortly after I answered the profile questions.
You can see the list of available surveys from your account dashboard. You can view how many points and how long the task will take before you click on it. For example, a 10-minute survey that earns 40 points.
Survey Junkie only offered me a few surveys at any one time. This limited my earning potential.
Survey Junkie is less time-consuming and pays less than MTurk. 35 tasks were completed between profile questions and surveys before I reached the minimum $10 payout (the minimum has since been reduced to $5).
It was frustrating to answer several minutes of survey questions only to be disqualified. This happened quite a few times.
You can probably relate to this experience if you have completed many online surveys. This has happened to me with Swagbucks before. It can be frustrating to do all the hard work and not receive the full rewards.
Survey Junkie's survey topics were mainly related to the products and services consumers purchase.
Survey Junkie gives you one cent for every point earned by taking surveys. A survey that has a 100-point reward will give you $1. To cash out, you will need $5 (500 points) in your account.
I selected to receive a PayPal cash payment. However, you can also transfer your rewards to a bank account. You can also redeem your rewards electronically with gift cards.
These are just a few of the gift certificates available:
Amazon
Walmart
iTunes
Sephora
Target
Starbucks
Groupon
Survey Junkie requested to verify my identity when I went to cash out. Survey Junkie asked me to verify my identity by asking for my phone number and home address.
Survey Junkie's system couldn't automatically verify my identity so I had to wait for someone from the company's office to call me to do it manually.
I found a lot of complaints on the Better Business Bureau website from people who had experienced difficulties redeeming points.
These complaints can be found there, although I suspect a good number of them were from people who may not have wanted to give their true details and it came back to bite them in the backside. This happens a lot, so don't believe all you read on customer complaints sites!
Despite being concerned that I wouldn’t be paid, I was able cash out right away after the manual verification. So nothing to be concerned about after all!
Survey Junkie is certainly legit, which I can say in all honesty because I have tested it. However, I don't believe this is a great way to make more than a few bucks per day.
I have had a lot of success with MTurk. It offers many other ways to make money besides completing surveys.
However, you should certainly give Survey Junkie an opportunity.
You can register at SurveyJunkie.com and spend a few hours filling out surveys. Cash out when you reach the minimum and just see how much you can accumulate in that time!
