PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy describes how Makely ("Makely," "we," "us") handles information when you use the Makely iOS app ("the App"). By using Makely, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Makely is designed to collect as little data as possible.

• Project content you create or import. When you paste a link or share a video from another app, the URL and the resulting content are sent to our processing services (see Section 3) to extract project details. Projects, notes, materials, and lists you create or edit are stored locally on your device.

• Subscription status. When you subscribe to Makely Pro, Apple's StoreKit confirms purchase status. We never see your payment details — those are handled entirely by Apple.

• Device-level technical data. Standard iOS diagnostics (e.g., crash reports you choose to share with Apple) may be shared with Apple under Apple's own privacy terms. We do not run any third-party analytics SDKs.

We do not collect: your name, email address, contacts, location, photos (other than what you explicitly share into the App), camera access (unless you grant it for project photos), or any persistent advertising identifiers.

2. How We Use Information

• To extract materials and steps from the videos or links you submit.

• To deliver and improve the App's features.

• To verify your subscription entitlements via Apple StoreKit.

• To respond to support requests you send us.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not build advertising or behavioral profiles.

3. Third-Party Services

To extract project details from a video or link, the App sends the link (and, where relevant, downloaded media or text) to:

• Google (Gemini API) — for AI analysis of the content to identify materials, tools, and steps. Use of this service is subject to Google's privacy terms.

• RapidAPI / "Download All In One" provider — for fetching publicly available video content from supported platforms. Subject to the provider's terms.

• Apple StoreKit — for subscription management. Subject to Apple's privacy terms.

After processing, the extracted project is returned to your device. We do not retain copies of submitted links, video content, or extracted projects on our own servers; Makely has no user database.

4. Children's Privacy

Makely is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has used the App, contact us and we'll assist.

5. Your Choices and Rights

• Delete your data: Because your projects live on your device, uninstalling the App deletes them. There is no cloud backup unless you explicitly enable iCloud backups in iOS Settings.

• Cancel your subscription: Manage or cancel any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

• Data requests: Residents of jurisdictions that grant data rights (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) may contact us at renvapp@gmail.com to make requests. Because we do not maintain a user database, most requests are resolved by deleting the App.

6. Data Security

Project data is stored locally on your device using iOS's built-in protections. Submitted content in transit to third-party services is sent over TLS. No method of transmission is 100% secure.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new Effective Date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
