Beginners Sewing Class
Duration: 12 weeks
Schedule: Every Saturday, maximum 2 hours per session
Overview:
Our comprehensive sewing course is designed to introduce beginners to the fundamentals of sewing. Over 12 weeks, students will learn essential techniques and complete a variety of projects.
Program
Week 1: Basic sewing machine operation, seam types, fabric types, seam allowances, and cutting fabric.
Week 2: Pillowcase project (fabric provided)
Week 3: Buttons/buttonholes, basic pleats, and gathering techniques
Week 4-5: Tote bag project
Week 6: Pillowcase dress project
Week 7-8: Elastic waist shorts project
Week 9: Oven gloves project
Week 10: Hand sewing
Week 11-12: Apron project
Course Fee: R4500
Note: Fabric for the pillowcase project will be provided. Students are required to bring their own fabric for subsequent projects.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of attendance.

Intermediate Sewing Class
Duration: 12 Weeks

Class Time: Maximum 2 Hours per Session
This intermediate sewing class is designed to enhance your sewing skills and knowledge. Over the 12-week course, you will learn to create the following projects:
Program
Week 1 – 2: Preparing to make your own clothes
Taking measurements
Choose the correct size on a pattern
How to read a pattern
Tracing a pattern from a multi sized pattern
Layup the pattern pieces correctly onto the fabric
Week 3 – 5: Basic skirt with waistband and pockets
Week 6: Leggings
Week 7-9: Sweater
Week 10 -12: Sweatpants
Course Fee: R4800
Note: Fabric for the pillowcase project will be provided. Students are required to bring their own fabric for subsequent projects.
Certification
