Join Our Unique Orchestra Camp!
Are you ready for an unforgettable summer adventure where music and mystery collide?
This isn't just any orchestra camp! On this Maestro's Musical Treasure Hunt, young musicians of all skill levels will embark on an exciting quest, guided by experienced instructors Abigail Korfmann and Deanna Shegda.
What does this camp have to offer?
An Epic Treasure Hunt Theme: Each day unfolds a new chapter in an exciting story! Campers will follow clues, solve musical "cyphers" (music theory in disguise!), and discover daily "treasures." Imagine a Vacation Bible School-style adventure, but with orchestral instruments and musical challenges!
Inspiring Music Mentors: We believe in the power of peer inspiration! Talented teen musicians will act as mentors (aiming for a 1:2 mentor-to-student ratio), providing one-on-one guidance, modeling correct posture and playing, and helping young campers feel empowered and engaged.
Daily Skits & Storytelling: Our music mentors and instructors will bring the treasure hunt to life with short, fun daily skits highlighting musical skills and important character traits.
Skills & Character Go Hand-in-Hand: Beyond musical proficiency, we'll have daily challenges where campers can apply their new skills AND showcase positive character traits. We'll even recognize a student each day who exemplifies the "character trait of the day"!
Fun for Everyone: Whether your child is a brand new beginner or an intermediate player, our activities are designed to be engaging, challenging, and incredibly fun. Mentors will help tailor challenges to each student's level.
