10 The Largest Parties Around The World

Matt Kepnes wrote a new article list of some of the largest parties on the planet. While my party till I puke days are a bit behind meI found some of these to be pretty interesting. I had only heard of 2 of the parties, which surprised me. I thought I understood most of the huge ones out there.

These are listed in no particular order:

1.) La Tomatina: Going strong since 1945, this food fight to finish all food struggles is in the tiny city of Buñol in the Valencia region of Spain. Want to get hammered with tomatoes? Then head over the last Wednesday in August and be sure to take some goggles along with a few throwaway clothes. There's not enough triple-action Shout in the world to get all out those stains! Book your seat on Delta Airlines Reservations with Airlines Gethuman and avail best offers for your flights.

2.) Full Moon Party: Everything started as a hippy celebration in the'80s is now a 20,000 dominant party every complete moon. This all day and all night events are located in Ko Pha Ngan, Thailand. Be sure that you take your throw away clothing, including shoes - God knows what's going to wind up on them!

3.) Burning Man: I have to confess, this celebration looks like a scene from Mad Max compared to an all-out party, but it draws 47,000 people so that it qualifies as BIG. This is an 8-day festival that culminates in the burning of a 72ft wooden man. Every year has a theme (this year, it is the "American Dream"). The cool thing about this party is you don't bring cash. What's bartered? You simply buy water and ice. Bring your essential camping gear and lots of sun blocks - and of course, some goods to swap with!

4.) It is a religious festival designed to cool you down and wash away the sins of the previous calendar year. What better method of doing that than by committing a couple of new ones, immediately? Songkran happens all over the country with everyone embarking on the world's biggest water fight. So make your water gun, something you don't mind getting soaked along with the right attitude. This might not be the place to see if you get grumpy as soon as you start drinking!

5.) Glastonbury Music Festival: Last year's event had over 177,000 individuals and 700 musical actions. Now THAT'S a celebration! This festival crosses three times, so bring your tent and whatever you have to survive that lot of people and much fun!

6.) Holi: This is India's version of Songkran. Instead of getting saturated with water, then you get colored flour dumped on you and saturated with water. Best make sure you have some throwaway clothing (those parties all seem to have a recurring theme of throwaway clothes.

7.) Bay to Breakers: The third Sunday in May, you can visit San Francisco for your bay to breakers. This was initially a 7-mile foot race, but now its 7 miles of costumes and kegs. What more could you want?

8.) Australia Day: Apparently, most Australians love two things: beer and BBQs. Celebrated January 26th, only show up with some Australian beer and something to throw on the Barbie anywhere in Australia, and you're ready to party!

9.) Queen's Day: Throw on something orange and celebrate the arrival of Queen Beatrix. This party held April 30th, (it's too cold to celebrate her birthday in January), features that the ever-important beer and songs. The canals are full of Dutch as they celebrate and let loose!

10.) Calgary Stampede: following is a 10-day rodeo that attracts countless visitors during its course. You need a healthy respect for country music, but additionally, you'll have tons of women (or boy) watching and needless to say, lots of parties and drinking. Oh yeah, there is a massive rodeo, too!

Of course, there are many other parties on the market in which you can get your groove on, paint yourself some different color you prefer, and wake up in the bushes of the wrong hotel - but check out these. So what are my travel tips for all these celebrations?

Mainly, be sure to wake up in the bushes of your hotel. Be security conscious when it comes to your wallet and passport. I will be publishing some safety tips shortly to aid you. Apart from that, take lots of throwaway clothes. This is a good time to empty your cupboard of things you've meant to trash and never got around to.

Do you know some big parties that didn't make the record (I can think of some...) - let me know in the comments!

Clothes. This is a great time to drain out your cupboard of things you've intended to garbage and never got around to.
