Ghana is among the African countries In Sub-Saharan Africa, experiencing impressive growth rates where the tourism industry has suddenly moved from side-line to the center stage of economic strategies (UNAM, 2010). The tourism industry has made an immense contribution to the country's economy, particularly in recent times, as the sector continues to evince its potential as a key driver of sustainable growth. For example, between 2000 and 2005, the number of visiting tourists and spending increased by 46 per cent and 68 per cent respectively(The World Bank, 2010).
