Hi, I'm Maja!
I am a postgraduate student at Abertay University in Dundee, studying MSc Technical Art & Visual Effects. I specialise in Virtual Production and Motion Graphics. I am passionate about learning Houdini and combining real and digital elements in my projects. I am also very interested in Motion Capture and I have experience with Vicon MoCap System. Previously, I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Computer Arts with First Class Honours, specialising in 3D art.
What excites me these days!
I am proud to say that I have been helping to build the Water's Edge Realtime Lab by CoSTAR Network in Dundee as a postgraduate student specialising in Virtual Production. I was trained to set up the Mo-Sys StarTracker and Brompton processors, helped with the installation of the LED panels and took part in numerous shoots. I am excited to represent this project further and create a proper VP product during my final masters project this summer!
Experience in games!
I am a finalist of DARE Academy 2024 and I managed to showcase my team's game at EGX in London. The game was a VR puzzle solver, which explored the mechanic of a cybernetic eye that can be taken out of the main character's robotic face and thrown to different locations to access a perspective that would not be otherwise achievable. This way, the player's each eye could see something different. It was testing the limits of the brain. The team managed to develop in a way that causes the least discomfort, maximising the enjoyable experience of being the main character, robot spy.
