Abstract. Predicting the emotional influence of news and their reaction on users is very important not only for publishers but also for users themselves, who can filter out news articles based on the reactions they trigger. In this talk, I will focus on the problem of emotional influence prediction on users before the post publication. In this context, I will present a range of textual and semantic features derived from the content of the posts and show that such features allow to effectively predict the amount of emotional reactions triggered by a news post.
