Moozzle is a number-guessing game app. This policy explains what data the app processes, why, and who it is shared with.
Moozzle requires no sign-up. There is no account to create, no e-mail address and no phone number to provide. We do not know your real name, your address or your location, and we do not access your contacts, photos or files.
The following is stored only in your phone's memory and is never sent to anyone:
- the nickname and avatar you choose;
- your preferences (theme, language, sound effects, music);
- your game history and statistics.
It is erased when you uninstall the app or clear its data from your phone's settings.
To let two players connect, the app uses Firebase Realtime Database (Google) as a temporary meeting point. The following passes through it:
the randomly generated game code;
the host's nickname and avatar, so that their opponent can see them;
the chosen game settings (game, difficulty, time per turn, etc.);
technical connection data (WebRTC protocol) which includes IP addresses, required to establish the direct link between the two devices.
This data is deleted automatically when the game ends. Once the connection is established, gameplay — guesses, hints, emoji reactions — travels directly between the two devices, without passing through our servers.
The app also creates an anonymous identifier through Firebase Authentication. It contains no personal information and is used solely to operate the service.
Moozzle is free and funded by advertising, delivered by Google AdMob: a banner, a full-screen ad every five games, and an optional video that you choose to watch in order to earn extra attempts.
To deliver these ads, Google uses your device's advertising ID. This identifier may be used to personalise ads according to your interests.
You stay in control: your phone lets you reset this identifier or turn off personalisation at any time, under Settings › Google › Ads on Android.
Google's own processing is governed by its policy: <https://policies.google.com/privacy>
In order to fix failures, the app sends automatic reports when an error occurs. They contain the device model, the operating system version, the app version and the technical details of the error. They contain nothing that identifies you.
| Service | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Ad delivery | <https://policies.google.com/privacy> |
| Google Firebase | Matching players | <https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy> |
| Sentry | Crash reports | <https://sentry.io/privacy/> |
Matchmaking data is deleted automatically at the end of each game. Data stored on your device remains there until you uninstall the app. Crash reports are kept for as long as needed to fix the issues.
Moozzle may be used by children. We knowingly collect no personal data about them: the app asks for no identity information and offers no way to be matched with strangers — an online game can only start between two people who have deliberately exchanged a code.
Because we hold no data that identifies you, we cannot link a request to a person. However, at any time and without contacting us, you can:
erase all your data by uninstalling the app or clearing its data from your phone's settings;
reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation in your Android settings.
