Dr. Jack M. Becker graduated from Temple University School of Medicine, and completed his residency in Pediatrics at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. He then trained in Allergy and Immunology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. His academic career has included positions on the faculty of MCP/Hahnemann University, Temple University, and Drexel University College of Medicine. He is a nationally recognized expert in the field of sports and asthma. He is a past president of the Pennsylvania Asthma and Allergy Association and is presently the chair of the Asthma Mortality Committee and vice-chair of the Sports Medicine Committee for the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Becker joined Main Line Allergy in January of 2007, where he sees pediatric and adult patients in our Willow Grove and Ardmore offices. He holds staff appointments at Bryn Mawr Hospital and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. He has given hundreds of lectures on a variety of topics relating to asthma and allergy and is published on many subjects from exercise induced asthma to food allergies. His interests include inner city and sports asthma, food allergy and anaphylaxis.
