We have about half the sprinkler schedules finished, and so far they cover the following streets:
49th AV 51st AV 54th CO
49th RD 51st CO 54th ST
49th TE 53rd CO 55th CO
50th AV 53rd ST 55th ST
The report lists 264 of the 494 addresses we service, and is at mainlands6irrigation.org
Look down the list first for your house number, then street.
I hope this is helpful, and we’ll have the rest as soon as we can-

Here is the latest example of another problem that was left for us to repair CORRECTLY, and bury the pipes as they should have been. This patch job from years ago broke on Thursday and flooded the area, So I'm sorry to report that the pumps will be down for a few hours tomorrow until this can be fixed, and I hope you can understand why.
We were making a lot of progress keeping up with these problems that were left for us, but it's been quite a year for "natural disasters" on top of it all. AT&T kicked off the damages with a neighborhood-wide drilling campaign around all our yards. Then the canal filled with overgrowth and made pumping impossible in August, followed by non-stop rains in September along with a half-neighborhood blackout that threw off the clocks. We resumed regular service Oct 14, and then all the accumulated damage by lawn services appeared at once. And to top it off, it's been great that many of you are taking advantage of the driveway program offered by the city, but too many have not advised us of plans to widen them first. So contractors have torn through sprinkler lines instead. Remember we have to bill you for repairs like this, the same as we are billing AT&T.
On an up note, you will see pop-up sprinklers going into all our yards. This will eventually end the damage caused by lawn services, but it will take time. So we continue to ask for your patience when you call irrigation with a complaint- our contractor is here just 20 hours per week. If you're able to screw a sprinkler head back on yourself, it will be a lot faster than waiting until after we repair damages like we find in these pictures. And all your calls are recorded in an online database; they are never ignored-

If you are still having a problem as we work through the tremendous backlog, please try not to interrupt him by telling him your sprinkler problems- you won’t get serviced any faster, you are slowing down everyone’s repairs, and there is no way to follow up on your request. It’s much faster for me to hand the contractor all the tickets and let him formulate an attack plan. Report sprinkler problems by texting or calling (954) 371-9301, or by dropping a note in our mailbox or at mainlands6irrigation@gmail.com.
I was able to snap this pic of him early this morning on 50th Ave (Pic)

Our new irrigation contractor is working overtime at a feverish pace. After returning one of the service tickets he sent this pic of the finished product; his goal is to get us all looking like this! (Pic)

On behalf of the Irrigation Board, I’m pleased to tell you that our new contractor Pines Lawn Sprinklers “hit the ground running” today, several days before they were contracted to start. Right now they are finishing up repairs from the AT&T digging several weeks ago, and we are going through service tickets to make sure that all problems that were reported are followed through on.
There is one particular problem that has recently prevented us from running the pumps- one of our valves was buried under a concrete patio and locked up, causing flooding every hour that the pumps ran! Our contractor is using a feed-through camera to help fix this now.
In addition to lots of new technology like this, we ˙will now benefit from teams of available workers to find and fix things much faster. Again we send a big “thank you” to Jim for his service to Mainlands Section 6, and also for agreeing to help us out during what should be a short transition period. I’ll try to post frequent updates here, and also on our website at mainlands6irrigation.org.
Continue to report sprinkler problems by texting or calling (954) 371-9301, or by dropping a note in our mailbox or at mainlands6irrigation@gmail.com. Thank you for your patience and support,
John
