Mail to Trello is a browser extension that helps users transfer information from Gmail and Microsoft Outlook emails to Trello cards.
The extension is designed to support task management workflows by allowing users to read selected email information and create or update Trello cards based on that information.
The extension only performs actions explicitly initiated by the user.
Depending on the user's actions, the extension may access:
Email subject
Sender name and email address
Recipient names and email addresses
CC recipients
Email body content
Email attachments
Email message identifiers
Email flag status in Microsoft Outlook
The extension accesses only the information necessary to perform the requested operation.
Information accessed by the extension is used solely to:
Display email information to the user
Create Trello cards
Update existing Trello cards
Attach email content to Trello cards
Upload email attachments to Trello cards
Support workflow automation requested by the user
No information is used for advertising, profiling, marketing, or analytics purposes.
When requested by the user, the extension may update certain Microsoft Outlook message properties after successful processing.
These updates are limited to workflow-related actions, including:
Removing follow-up flags from processed emails
The extension does not delete emails, modify email content, or send emails on behalf of the user.
Mail to Trello does not operate any backend server.
Email contents are not stored on servers controlled by the developer.
The extension may store limited information locally within the browser, including:
User preferences
Authentication tokens
Configuration settings
Recently used options
This information remains under the user's control and is stored only to support extension functionality.
Information is shared only with services necessary to perform user-requested actions:
Google Gmail API
Microsoft Graph API
Trello API
Data is transmitted only when required to complete an action initiated by the user.
No information is sold, rented, licensed, or shared with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing organizations.
Users remain in full control of all actions performed by the extension.
The user determines:
Which email is processed
Which Trello card is modified
Whether attachments are transferred
When Outlook follow-up flags are removed
No email is processed automatically without user interaction.
All communication with Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Graph, and Trello services is performed using encrypted HTTPS connections.
