Maidan ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Maidan mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App and the choices you have associated with that data.

By downloading, installing, or using Maidan, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information Collection and Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our futsal booking, matchmaking, and ledger services to you.

Types of Data Collected

A. Personal Data

While using our App, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). This includes, but is not limited to:

• Full Name (e.g., Rajan Thapa)

• Phone Number

• Email Address

• Profile Picture / Avatar

• Team details, skill level, and preferred player positions (for matchmaking)

B. Location Data

We may use and store information about your location if you give us permission to do so ("Location Data"). We use this data to provide features of our service such as showing you nearby futsal venues (e.g., within 0.8 km) and optimizing search results.

• You can enable or disable location services at any time through your mobile device settings.

C. Usage and Device Data

We may collect information that your mobile device sends whenever you visit or use our App. This may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, device type, unique device IDs, operating system version, and in-app activity (e.g., slots viewed, matches joined, chat logs).

2. How We Use Your Information

Maidan uses the collected data for various operational purposes:

• To provide and maintain our Service: Managing your ground bookings, syncing real-time slot schedules, and generating check-in QR codes.

• To facilitate Matchmaking: Allowing captains to recruit solo players and matching local squads for open challenges.

• To handle Financial Ledgers: Tracking your paid advance escrows and remaining venue dues.

• To provide communication tools: Powering the live in-app match chat threads between players and captains.

• To provide customer support: Resolving booking disputes or venue referee escalations.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We respect your privacy and do not sell your personal data. We only share information in the following strict scenarios:

• With Futsal Venue Vendors: When you book a slot at a premium venue (e.g., Baneshwor Turf Recreation, Thamel Kickers), your name, contact, and booking ticket reference are shared with the venue’s front-desk console to process check-in and settle ledger dues.

• With Other Players/Captains: Your designated player position, name, and skill details are visible to other users within the Matchmaking and Team Chat feeds to coordinate matches.

• Third-Party Payment Processors: We integrate with secure escrow digital wallets in Nepal (eSewa and FonePay). We do not store your bank credentials or full wallet passwords; transaction tokens are processed entirely via their secure APIs.

4. Data Security & Storage

The security of your data is highly important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We utilize industry-standard cloud encryption to protect your records, booking transactions, and automated ledger data.

5. Account and Data Deletion (Google Play Compliance)

You have the right to access, update, or delete the personal information we have on you.

• In-App Deletion: You can request the deletion of your account and all associated matchmaking data directly through the Profile/Settings panel inside the Maidan App.

• Web Request: Alternatively, you can email us at contact.maidaan@gmail.com to request total data purging. Upon verification, your profile, active bookings, and contact records will be permanently removed from our databases within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us so that we can execute immediate removal.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
