CARIBBEAN CRUISE

This project is centred on a cruise ship tour around the Caribbean Sea.

It will visit various exotic and beautiful destinations such as The Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Barbados, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Mexico and Cuba. It will explore in depth the cultures of each country to really understand the uniqueness of each country. The project uses a range of vibrant colours to portray this. Through print I am looking at animals in which are based in each area. For example, parrots, and other tropical birds, iguanas, tropical frogs that are found in the rainforest, monkeys and jaguars to introduce the animal print aspect l'm trying to push. As well as this I will research typical flowers and foliage that is grown in each parts to bring it all together to create my prints. Finally, I will also look at tropical fruit and incorporate it into my work. Overall, this project will show a variety of Caribbean cultures and work together as a collection through artwork, fabric samples and illustration.
