Led a team of 5 engineering students on 2 different projects in project 1 we had to design and analyze a multi-story building with 5 unique beams and 5 girders using STAAD-PRO software, we have designed the reinforcement steel for both the moment and the shear, checked for deflection and cracking control, draw the beams and girders elevations and cross-sections after designing using Auto-CAD, and did the cost estimation for everything.
In project 2, we have done the 3D analysis for the full building and frames, analyzed and checked 5 different columns with STAAD-PRO, and designed a one-way solid slab with all the necessary steps and checks.
In both of the projects, we have followed the BS8110 code.
Got an excellent mark on both the projects and an Excellent overall grade in the course (Grade: A).
Led a team of 3 engineering students to design a water supply and distribution network of an area in Hamad Town, Bahrain. We have used the hardy-cross method for balancing heads and flows and used the Hazen Williams equation for the design process, all the design, calculations, and checking were done using MS-Excel software.
Got a full mark on the project, and an Excellent overall grade in the course
(Grade: A).
Led a team of 3 engineering students to analyze a one-story villa located in Karranah, Bahrain. Did a full estimate of the direct and direct cost of the work, listed the activities (Scope of work), created a WPS, an estimation of the BOQ, and created a project schedule using MS-Project software.
Got an excellent mark on the project, and a Very Good overall grade in the course
(Grade: B).
Led a team of 5 engineering students to analyze and do the quantity surveying work for a one-story villa located in Karranah, Bahrain. We have done the quantity estimation for earthworks, concrete work, steel reinforcement, formworks, block works, precast hollow core slab, plastering works, tiles, and prepared the BOQ for the whole villa as an estimation.
Got a full mark on the project, and an Excellent overall grade in the course (Grade: A).
