Cello Instructor
Vannophat Kaploykeo is a distinguished cellist and instructor whose international career spans performance, pedagogy, and competitive excellence. He holds a Master of Music in Cello Performance from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Music from the College of Music, Mahidol University, where he also completed the Young Artist Music Program. His artistic development was further enriched by professional training at the prestigious University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
An accomplished orchestral musician, Vannophat has held significant positions both in Thailand and abroad. He recently served as a Subtitle/On-Call cellist for the Victoria Symphony Orchestra (2023–2024) and previously held the role of Assistant Principal Cello with the Bangkok Metropolitan Orchestra (2020–2022). His extensive ensemble experience also includes a four-year tenure as a Tutti cellist with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra.
Vannophat’s technical mastery is reflected in a series of top-tier accolades, including first prize at the 2023 Annual Solo Bach Competition. His prowess in chamber music is equally notable, having secured first prize at the Vienna All-Star Chamber Music Competition in 2015 and multiple awards at the Princess Galyani Vadhana International Ensemble Competition. Currently, he shares his expertise and global perspective as a Cello Instructor at Mahidol Music Academy.
