I'm Mahfuz, a Postdoctoral Fellow at UF working at the intersection of probabilistic learning, causality, and multimodal imaging. I build efficient and transparent models for safety-critical settings—particularly CT/MRI analysis and clinical education evaluation with LLMs. My practice emphasizes baseline comparisons, error analysis, and reproducible pipelines, ensuring that results hold up beyond a single machine.

Outside of research, I enjoy astrophotography and learning the piano, pursuits that keep me curious about patterns, structure, and timing—ideas that also shape how I think about machine learning.
