Silangan Elementary School Annex started its operation through the initiative of Dr. Teresita De Jesus, who has then the principal of Silangan Elementary School – Main. With the great diplomatic relations made by Mrs. Nena P. Monte (who then became te Offier-In-Charge and principal of Silangan Elementary School – Annex) to local and national officials. The school was founded in the year 2000. The site has an area of 3,936 square meters which was solicited from the National Housing Authority (NHA). At first, the school had a three – story building with nine classrooms which built through the Countryside Development Fund (CDP) Congressman Dante Tinga and improved by Congressman Allan Peter Cayetano’s Congressional Fund. After a year, it had already a perimeter fence funded by the Local School Board or LSB of Taguig. On the first year of operation the school had only 800 pupils and 12 teachers. Ninety percent of the pupils’ population are Muslims.

With the continuous support coming from the local and national agencies, he school was given another 3-story building in 2004 courtesy of office of the mayor. In 2009, DepEd constructed a six-classroom, three-storey building. Not only the local and national agencies are making Silangan Elementary School – Annex a far better institution, corporate organizations and foundations are also helping the school in giving better educational opportunities and creating a brighter future for the pupils. Some of these organizations and foundations are the Kilusang Diwa ng Taguig (KDT), Center for Moderate Muslims (CMM), GUCI Foundation, League of Corporate Foundations, Meralco Foundations, Hongkong ang Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), Deautsche Bank, Asia America Initiative (AAI), Assumption College and UNESCO. These are some of the corporate foundations and organizations that help the school a successful institution of the learning.
