Maharashtra Urban Pay is an application (here in after referred to as an "app") developed by Maharashtra Urban Co-op. Credit Society with its registered office at Chikhli Road, Buldana -443001, India. We value the trust you place in us. By downloading this app you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. As this policy enables us to provide you a secure and a wholesome experience, we will not be able to register you, if you are not in agreement with these terms.

Collection of Personally Identifiable Information and other Information
When you use our app, we collect and store your personal information which is provided by you from time to time. Our primary goal in doing so is to provide you a safe, efficient, smooth and customized experience. This allows us to provide services and features that most likely meet your needs, and to customize our Website to make your experience safer and easier. More importantly, while doing so we collect personal information from you that we consider necessary for achieving this purpose. If you choose to transact on the app, we collect information about your transaction behaviour. We collect some additional information, such as a billing address, details of recipient or payer of the transaction, location, etc.
If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities on the app, we may collect such information into a file specific to you.
We collect personally identifiable information (email address, name, phone number, etc.) from you when you register with us. We do use your contact information to send you offers based on your transaction history and your interests.
Contact Information
Depending on the Service opted by you, we may collect contact information to manage relationship with you including contact your references submitted by you (if we are unable to reach you) and communicate with you about our products and services. For example - to contact you as a survey respondent, to notify you if you win any contest; and to send you promotional materials from its contest sponsors or advertisers.
Personal Information
Your full name, Mobile, a government issued identification, email address, mailing address, photograph, birthdate etc when you apply, use or sign-up Services.
SMS
Collect SMS about transactions, the names of the transacting parties, a description of the transactions etc. to help us perform a credit risk assessment. For example: we will send an automated message from your device to link and verify your phone number to authenticate and authorise your transaction.
No personal SMS is stored and/or collected.
Business Information
Information provided by you on your business and about the goods and services sold by you such as your prices, inventory and/or other data.
Camera
For a QR Code Scan, better user experience in submitting documents and for a streamlined onboarding process.
Customer Information
Information you collect from your customers, including email address, phone number, payment information, or other information.
Device Information
Information about your device, including your hardware model, operating system and version, device name, unique device identifier, mobile network information, and information about the device's interaction with our Services.
Demographic Information
Location and geolocation information may be collected from your device. If you do not consent to collection of this information, certain Services will not function properly, and you will not be able to use those Services.

Use of Demographic / Profile Data / Your Information
We use personal information to provide the services you request. To the extent we use your personal information to market to you, we will provide you the ability to opt-out of such uses. We use your personal information to resolve disputes; troubleshoot problems; help promote a safe service; collect money; measure consumer interest in our products and services, inform you about online and offline offers, products, services, and updates; customize your experience; detect and protect us against error, fraud and other criminal activity; enforce our terms and conditions; and as otherwise described to you at the time of collection.
In our efforts to continually improve our product and service offerings, we collect and analyse demographic and profile data about our users' activity on our app.
We identify and use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our app. Your IP address is also used to help identify you and to gather broad demographic information.
We will occasionally ask you to complete optional online surveys. These surveys may ask you for contact information and demographic information (like zip code, age, or income level). We use this data to tailor your experience at our app, providing you with content that we think you might be interested in and to display content according to your preferences.

The Platform intends to protect your personal information and to maintain its accuracy as confirmed by you. For example, the Company servers are accessible only to authorized personnel and your information is shared with employees and authorized personnel on a “need to know basis” to complete the transaction and to provide the services requested by you.
Our Platform has stringent security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of information under control. We endeavour to safeguard and ensure the security of the information provided by you. We use Secure Sockets Layers (SSL) based encryption, for the transmission of the information, which is currently the required level of encryption in India as per the law.
We blend security at multiple steps within our products with the state of the art technology to ensure our systems maintain strong security measures and the overall data and privacy security design allow us to defend our systems ranging from low hanging issue up to sophisticated attacks.
Please note that we will not ask you to share any sensitive data or information such as account/login/passwords/financial information (bank details, OTPs etc) and other sensitive personal information via email/telephone/SMS/link. Please do not share such information to any person.
However, transacting over the internet has inherent risks which can only be avoided by you following security practices yourself, such as not revealing account/login/passwords/financial information such as bank details, OTPs and other sensitive personal information to any other person. In the event you suspect that your account/personal information has/may have been compromised or you receive any suspicious call, SMS, link, email requesting your sensitive personal information, you may reach out to our grievance redressal officer as per the details provided in this Privacy Policy.
Although the Company endeavours to safeguard the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information, transmissions made by means of the Internet cannot be made absolutely secure. By using the Platform, you agree that the Company will have no liability for disclosure of your information due to errors in transmission and/or unauthorized acts of third parties.
