About Me
Assistant Professor
CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum (CSIR-IIP), Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research
I work in the Biofuels Division at CSIR-IIP, where I lead research on the development of sustainable catalytic materials for energy and environmental applications. Prior to joining CSIR-IIP, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers University, USA, working under the guidance of Professor Charles Dismukes. I earned my Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR, Mumbai) working with Prof. Vivek Polshettiwar, where I specialized in nanocatalysis and green chemistry.
My research focuses on the rational design of efficient, stable, and scalable catalytic materials for biofuels production, CO₂ conversion, and renewable energy storage. By integrating electrochemistry, photochemistry, and advanced materials characterization, our group aims to develop innovative solutions for pressing global challenges in energy sustainability and environmental remediation.
