Original Egyptian music blending Operatic vocal majesty with Egyptian taste, using acoustic instruments and Operatic vocal lines.
“Bastet” was a goddess of music in the glorious Ancient Egypt. The name was chosen by the late artist Hani El-Masri.
Collaborating with five passionate musicians of non-musical education/career, chronologically: Samuel Isaac (Oud), Amir Ayoub (Guitar), Shady El-Agar (Percussions), Emad Sidhom (Bass), and Nadine El-Seragy (Soprano).
The Project’s earliest piece “Egypt” won TEDxCairo 2014 Artist Competition. The Bastet Project was then selected to make its live debut at TEDxCairo 2015 for an audience of 1,500 at Cairo's AUC Bassily Hall and was a huge success.
“Bastet” Album was released on April 4th, 2018.
