About me
My name is Magnus Carlson, and I am a mathematician currently hired as a post-doc at Goethe University Frankfurt, where I am working with Jakob Stix.
My research interests lie mainly in number theory and arithmetic geometry. I am currently working on projects related to arithmetic topology and anabelian geometry. I am also interested in the interaction between homotopy theory and algebraic geometry.
I received my PhD in 2018 from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, where Tilman Bauer was my advisor. After that, from 2019 to 2021, I was a post-doc at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem where my host was Tomer Schlank. After that, from 2021 to 2023, I was a post-doc at Stockholm University, where I was working with Wushi Goldring.
