What makes me different?
I built my business from the ground up with hard work, experience, and a passion for quality lumber. What started 5–6 years ago as an accident with a small hobby mill, quickly grew into something much bigger. After gaining hands-on experience and building a strong foundation, I upgraded to a mid-grade manual mill and began taking on larger and more detailed projects. Through dedication to the craft and a commitment to delivering high-quality results, I have evolved into a full-scale operation running a fully hydraulic Wood-Mizer sawmill —allowing for greater capacity, precision, and efficiency.
With a strong background in construction, I understand firsthand what builders and customers expect from their materials: consistency, strength, and reliability. That knowledge carries over into every log that’s milled. I’ve also invested time in mastering advanced hardwood sawing techniques, including eighth barreling, which allows for superior production of quarter-sawn and rift-sawn lumber. These methods maximize stability, improve grain quality, and produce premium boards that stand out in both appearance and performance.
At Magnolia Milling, the goal is simple: Deliver high-quality, properly sawn lumber while treating every log and customer with the respect they deserve. Whether you’re a builder, woodworker, or landowner looking to make the most of your timber, you can expect craftsmanship, honesty, and results you’ll be proud of.
One of the things I take the greatest pride in is creating quality lumber with accurate cuts. I operate high-caliber equipment that is maintained and used properly. Your material will be consistently cut to your exact specifications - something you are unlikely to find with my competition. The lumber I produce has a much tighter tolerance than I believe you will find anywhere else.
I also cut nearly 90% of my own timber, so you can be assured of receiving lumber that is ring-shake and disease free.
I also have the capability of banding lumber lifts and loading them directly onto your trailer with forks. I make every effort to be available at the time of your pick up, to ensure you are not left loading your material alone. This is certainly something you are unlikely to find with my competition.
Are you tired of dealing with sawyers that are difficult to reach due to technological deficiencies? Are you tired of driving to the mill to place your order, only to receive material that is inconsistently cut? Are you sick of not being able to do business on Sundays? If you would like to work with a sawyer who puts you first, produces quality material, and works with integrity - please give Magnolia Milling a try.
