The Zoom feature lets you magnify specific parts of your screen. You can customize the feature to magnify the whole screen or a draggable windowed view. Zoom also allows you to turn on gestures like double-tapping three fingers to activate Zoom, move around your screen and change the magnification.

I am not sure what you want to use it for, or how often, but if you do not need to use it a lot, and you have a smart phone, a lot of the smart phones, if you go to the camera setting, you can zoom in on the screen to increase the font size just like using a magnify glass. I am not sure if that would help you or not.

For my electronic work on the bits that are smaller than a grain of rice I use 4 different types of magnifiers, the first one is the desk mounted spring armed lighted ring which are usually 3x no matter what they say. Basically, as a hand magnifier, you can keep your head about ten inches from the lens and several inches from the workpiece.

The third is my headset using a pair of 12x loops, one for each eye which can be swung out of the way independently, bests to get one with good LEDs as you need to get so close to the workpiece that you need auxiliary lighting.

Lastly, I use a pseudo microscope at about 50x that has a depth of field of only a millimeter and a width of about 2 mm and definitely need artificial lighting right at the surface. I use this for inspection and finding microcracks and corrosion at the gull wings.

With the gooseneck, you can adjust the position of the magnifier in myriad ways. You can also rotate the magnifier and light head forward away from you and back towards you on the axis where the magnifier connects to the gooseneck. This is a nice feature, as it allows you to move the magnifier to a vertical position and back to a horizontal position (or anywhere in between) quite easily. It also puts less wear on the gooseneck.

I have a question about the light bulb. Is it replaceable? If not what is the life of the bulb? I have found the new things like the wafer thin light boxes do not have a replaceable bulb so when it burns out you throw it away. Personally if I pay that kind of monies I want it to last.

Thank you for the information. After trying many different types of lights for quilting and embroidery I finally got a CraftOptics magnifier. A quilting friend from Ireland had purchased it several years ago, and while very expensive, has by far been the best investment I could have made to provide the magnification and lighting.

I have this light and I love it for all the reasons listed here. That said, it is heavier than it looks like it should be and it can be tippy if you swing the light head at more than a 90 degree angle from the base. Positioning it in a way that allows you to work and move it out of the way to get up can take some trial and error.

Does the package give a weight for the product? My husband built me a light/magnifier combo (they are separate items but attached to one base). He used the base and pole of a used floor light from a thrift shop. Even that base is pretty heavy and awkward to move at times. Interested in knowing how much this item weighs.

Is there a choice option for an acrylic/plastic instead of glass? Home use may not be as

exposed to scratches as office/industrial settings, and the lighter head would make it more stable. For years I used an acrylic lens fastened to a drafting board, and it worked fine. I like the extra magnification. Thanks for the review.

This very thing happened to me only it was outside next to my little art studio. I had a flower window box that has a decorative glass ball in it on one side. The sun had caught the coir matting on the window box on fire and it traveled up the wall. Luckily I saw it in time and was able to put it out. I have a magnifying glass attached to my craft light indoors and I keep a cotton bag over it for this reason. Scary!

I do use these Brightech lights (the clamp on ones), and I like them, but is there a recommendation for a good battery operated one for class? I have a couple that are just not bright enough, and I am looking for a better one, given the new upcoming requirements for EGA seminars.

I bought the Biotech magnifier lamp after your review in 2019. It WAS a wonderful light and magnifier. About 6 weeks ago the light started to flicker. I contacted the seller to ask how to change the lightbulb. I was crushed to discover that the bulb cannot be changed. My decision is to figure out what to do next. I hate to write such a review, but I had not thought that the bulb could not be replaced, especially after enjoying the light and magnifier. After purchasing the lamp in 2019, I now discover that after 2 years of use, it cannot be used!!!!!!!!!!

You may find that lowering your screen resolution will magnify the HTML site pages and help you see text and images more easily. As a start, try a resolution of 600 x 800 (in Windows) and see how that works for you.

Users who have low-vision and need to magnify the page may find that using magnification programs works better for them as there are more options for magnification strength and other display settings.

Magnifier is a tool that comes with the Windows Operating Systems. You can magnify and apply color contrast to your page using this tool. A known limitation with Magnifier is that you cannot interact with the page in the Magnifier window.

Some users need higher or a different color contrast to see content on pages. For example, you may find it easier to see light text on a dark background, dark text on a light background, or in grayscale.

Here is a great example of how to use background in CSS. I haven't found usage of background where you write all parameters in a single property, as you did (I am not saying it doesn't work) so I decapsulated it into more properties. And when you want to add an image in url() better way is to insert the path to the image and not inside of the SVG file. For example, I choose a random magnifying glass icon and imported it like so:

With an electronic video magnifier you can magnify images and text on a screen, change the colours and zoom in. Portable electronic magnifiers are great when out and about. Desktop electronic magnifiers can open a world of reading and TV-based electronic magnifiers are simplicity itself and connect to your existing TV.

Firefox, like Chrome, has additional features that can be added as extensions or add-ons. In the Add-Ons menu, Firefox has two additional themes that may be enabled for additional contrast. In addition to the color Default theme there are Light and Dark themes. The Dark theme provides lighter foreground and font colors on dark background colors, and the Light theme offers darker foreground and font colors on a lighter background. A search for High Contrast add-ons turned up an additional 160 theme options that could be installed as extensions.

Select and Speak, appeared as another text-to-speech extension and reported more overall installs than Read Aloud. With Select and Speak, a blank window is opened, where copied text can be manually pasted. Once pasted the text is read out loud. It lacks many of the settings found in Read Aloud including the text highlighting. It does have one very interesting download feature on the menu at the bottom of the reading window. Download will create and save a copy of the audio of the text being read, as a MP3 file. This can be a handy feature for many users.

The latest version of Microsoft Edge also offers a Zoom feature using the familiar keyboard shortcuts Ctrl plus +, Ctrl plus-, and Ctrl plus 0 to increase, decrease, and remove magnification from the browser window. Font size and style can be managed from the Main Menu in Settings > Appearance > Fonts. Options for Font Size and Customize Fonts can be managed here. An overall font size may be selected by choosing one of five sizes from Very Small to Very Large. Customizing Fonts provides more options for font styles. For example, Arial might be selected as the San Serif font of choice. The Font Size and Minimum Font Size each have a slider to select between Tiny (9 pt.) and Large (72 pt.). Also, in the Settings > Appearance menu, Edge has a Theme option. Theme offers a dropdown with Light, Dark, and System Default.

Its portability makes it a perfect solution for a middle school or high school student. Being able to go from class to class with a device that is lightweight is great with the access to both the whiteboard and his documents. The split screen feature is important to my student, especially for his math class.

For users with low vision, Connect 12 magnifies from 1x to 40x, making study and working life easier. This makes it useful in the learning environment and beyond, helping professionals with tasks, meetings, and access to information. External cameras enable remote viewing, and its lightweight design facilitates easy portability. Connect 12 video magnifier redefines independence, connectivity, and accessibility. e24fc04721
