Magnetic Separator 

A magnetic separator is a device that uses magnets to remove ferrous or magnetic materials from a mixture. The process of magnetic separation is based on the property that magnetically susceptible particles or materials can be separated from non-magnetic ones by the use of magnetic forces.

 There are different types of magnetic separators depending on the application and the materials to be separated. The most common types are:

1. Drum Magnetic Separator: In this type of separator, a rotating drum with powerful magnets inside attracts and removes ferrous particles from the material flowing on a conveyor belt.

2. Magnetic Pulley Separator: A magnetic pulley is installed at the end of a conveyor belt to attract and remove ferrous particles from the material being transported.

3. Overband Magnetic Separator: This type of separator is used to remove ferrous materials from a wide and thin layer of material on a conveyor belt.

4. Magnetic Grate Separator: A magnetic grate is placed in a hopper or a container to attract and remove ferrous particles from the material passing through it.

5. Magnetic Liquid Traps: A magnetic liquid trap is used to remove ferrous particles from liquid or slurry. The liquid is passed through a magnetic field created by a series of magnets inside a housing.

Magnetic separators are widely used in various industries, such as mining, food, pharmaceuticals, ceramics, recycling, and many others.
