Believe it or not, 80% of Greece is mountainous. The Pindus mountain range lies across the center of the country in a northwest-to-southeast direction, with a maximum elevation of 2,637 m. The highest peak in Greece is reaching almost 3000m at Mount Olympus (2918m).
There are several snowresorts across the country, some of them are upgraded with new lift systems like Parnassos and Kalavrita. Others offering great terrain for freeride like Vasilitsa, but suffering by old lift systems .
