MEET THE OWNER

My name is Ragina Anthony, M.S., CCC-SLP. I am the Owner, Founder, and Lead Speech-Language Pathologist of Magic Beyond Words Speech-Language Pathology PLLC. I am a Certified New York State and Virginia Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with experience treating both adults and children in a plethora of settings. I have experience treating adults in medical settings including SNF's, acute inpatient setting, and outpatient clinics, as well in the home health setting. In addition, with experience in working with children in the following settings: early Intervention, home care, the school setting, and outpatient hospital environment.

My private practice was created to provide quality service to patients and their families. At Magic Beyond Words SLP we service patients throughout the lifespan (birth/pediatrics, school-aged, adults, geriatrics). I look forward to the opportunity to help you discover how magical you are.

OUR WHY?

Magic Beyond Words Speech-Language Pathology, PLLC was created to serve those who don’t often feel as magical due to a swallowing condition, speech disorder, language delay, etc. Everyone's story is magical in its own way and every individual is magical. The mission of this practice is to help individuals with a variety of delays/disorders feel the MAGIC within themselves and their stories.

Currently, Magic Beyond Words Speech-Language Pathology, PLLC is only conducting therapy sessions and evaluations via telepractice, in the homes of the patient, or an approved location by patient and clinician (i.e., daycare, school, Adult Day Center, etc.).

Services Provided:

Pediatric Therapy

Play-based approaches utilized within sessions with children. Techniques utilized range from AAC training, articulation treatment, language therapy to improve patients vocabulary, feeding therapy, to training families to use approaches throughout their everyday routines to encourage carryover.

Adult Therapy

Speech-Language, Cognitive, Swallowing, and Voice treatments offered. Therapy can include variety of techniques from swallowing exercises to postural modifications, AAC, memory strategies, improving word finding skills, improving speech intelligibility, problem solving skills, and much more!

Mentoring/Supervision for Speech-Language Pathology Students/Clinical Fellows (Undergraduate and Graduate Students, Clinical Fellow Mentorship)

I have experience supervising undergraduate/graduate students, as well serving as a Clinical Fellowship Supervisor. I oversee graduate students and clinical fellows (CF's) in a skilled nursing facility. My supervision and mentoring experience is continuously supported by completing various continuing education courses, as well as having extensive hands on experience working with a variety of populations in numerous settings.
