Information for speakers
Everyone who registered a talk in the final form got their talk accepted
Each talk will have a duration of 25 minutes + 5 minutes for questions. We normally begin at 0845 in the morning.
There will be a morning session and an afternoon session, approximately 9 talks every day (Tue-Wed-Thur)
The schedule with speakers, titles and abstracts is found in the programme tab.
The talks are expected to be given with the help of a computer/tablet and a screen projector. You can use your own computer, but it will also be possible to borrow one for your talk. There will be no black or white boards, possibly just a flipover in the conference room.
Packing your luggage
Bring warm clothes and good winter shoes, you can bring your own skis if you want or rent equipment at Gaiastova.
Also warm gloves and a warm wool cap will be useful
Think about bringing a swimming costume, there might be opportunities to swim in the heated outdoor pool
There will be no events where it is expected that you dress formally
Living arrangements
There will generally be two persons to share one apartment. There is a separate bedroom for each person, shared bathroom, a small kitchen and living room. All meals will be served in the main house. Sandwiches for lunch can be prepared during breakfast, there will probably not be a served warm lunch.
Services in the area.
At Ilsetra hotel you can always buy drinks and snacks in the reception. About 10-15 minutes walk away is Gaiastova. They have a small convenience store, a sport equipment store, ski rental for both alpine and cross-country skiing (see link under Venue) and a cafeteria. In the other direction from Ilsetra is Pellestova hotel where there are two restaurants, this is also about 10-15 minutes walk from Ilsetra. The nearest shopping area is Øyer, about 11 km by the road, and is also reachable (much shorter) by alpine skis for relatively experienced skiers.
Settling the bill
The way it works is generally that you settle the bill for your stay with the hotel upon departure and get reimbursed from your institution later.The rules depend on which institution and country you come from. Tentative sponsored price per person per night is NOK 1180.
