Hello! My name is Maggie Donohoe and I have been in education for 11 years. I have done it all: fourth grade, third grade, first grade and Kindergarten. For the past four years I have been very fortunate to be in the position of instructional technology specialist for my district. I try to stay up-to-date on all current technology trends and best practices for the classroom!

During my time as an instructional technology specialist, I have been on the forefront of revolutionizing how we use technology in Sherman ISD. After looking at data, devices and how our students learn we realized that how we were implementing technology was no longer working. Through targeted professional development opportunities and by providing a full-time technology specialist on every campus, we are finally starting to see how we can leverage technology to drive the curriculum. Our teachers are starting to use technology as a tool on the journey to learning instead of using it as a substitution for learning. Through one-on-one coaching, mentoring, modeling and providing small-group training opportunities I was able to build the capacity of my campus. Now, four year later, my campus is at the forefront of interactive learning opportunities and we are the model for the district for collaborative learning environments. Starting this year, I was able to take my skills and knowledge to the next level by being the instructional technology specialist for Howe ISD. Being able to impact district technology initiatives has been a life-long dream of time!

Outside of teaching, I love to spend time with my husband Joel and our two children, Christian and Ava, who are the center of our world! I love nothing more than being a mother and wife! We also have 3 "furbabies" named Rocky, Pebbles and Max. We love to spend time together as family by watching movies or playing games.
