Magellan XCS/DES Follow-up Project Tracking Workspace
This project aims to collect imaging and spectroscopic data for XCS/DES clusters. The imaging data will be used primarily to estimate photo-z's for XCS clusters, which are then followed up for spectroscopy. The spectroscopy is used to measure real redshifts of the clusters, velocity dispersions of the clusters, galaxy and cluster calibrate photo-zs, measure redshifts of other X-ray objects, etc. We are using Magellan instruments like IMACS and MMIRS to get spectra of the galaxies in the clusters.
If you are part of this project, you should be assigned some tasks. Click here to see what they are and when they are due.
A Google Calendar is available which marks dates for proposal deadlines, mask submission deadlines, observing runs, etc.
Here you will find project specific documents. These include things like observing proposals, observing cookbooks (our own), mask making notes (our own), etc.
These are the things that are keeping us up at night.
