MagazineBlocks also known as Magblocks have been in use for many years in states that limit magazine capacity. They are designed specifically to help in making legal compliant, reduced capacity magazines. Magblocks are in common use in California, New Jersey, New York, Hawaii, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Vermont among others.
MagazineBlocks are available for most common pistol and rifle magazines. MagazineBlocks LLC is the original inventor and has the largest selection of limiters anywhere including the newest Universal Limiter on their website.
Don't give up your property that's what they want! Doesn't this violate the 2nd and obviously the 5th amendment? The court ruled that it did not because you were allowed to legally permanently modify your magazines to 10 rounds. Magazines should be protected as a fundemental right under the constitution.

Most confusion about Magblocks use is from laws specifiying that a permanent modification is needed. Because of this it is recommended to use a simple epoxy to permanently install the limiter or seal the magazine floorplate closed using a similar method. The Nappen Law Firm just released a book update about this:
May a person lawfully possess a “blocked” large capacity ammunition magazine?
A: "Yes, as long as it was owned on the day the law was enacted and was permanently blocked during the six-month grace period. Temporarily blocked magazines are not lawful. (NJAC § 13:54-1.2 Definitions) A large capacity ammunition magazine must be permanently altered so that it is not capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition. (e.g. riveted, welded, epoxied, etc.) It cannot be readily restorable. An ammunition magazine which has been temporarily blocked or modified from holding more than 10 rounds, as by a piece of wood or a pin, is still unlawful."

The newest patented "Universal Pistol Limiter" is and adjustable limiter that can be sized fit most double stack magazines. Some testing is required if the length needed is not known, but MagazineBlocks has a page listing all the known lengths to cut this limiter to for many common magazines. A helpful video is also available on Youtube and at the page below.
You have obviously waited until the last minute. Don't travel with any unconverted magazines and remember the police need probable cause for any searches of your property. You also do not have to answer any of their questions. Convert your magazines as soon as possible to be sale and legally protected.
