Anica Neiman is an emerging visual artist from Edmonton, Alberta, currently completing her Bachelors of Fine Arts at the University of Alberta. Anica’s practice is primarily rooted in painting and printmaking. Over the past year, she has been creating a body of work that delves into her own anxieties around intimacy and desire. Drawing from the grotesque, Anica has been creating work about the impact trauma can have on perception and behavior. Her practice has been greatly influenced and inspired by readings about the grotesque, learning about psychology and different genres of horror.
Corri-Lynn Tetz was born in Calgary, Alberta and now lives and works in Montreal. She studied at Red Deer College, Emily Carr and most recently graduated from the MFA program at Concordia University. Tetz has received project support from the Conseil des Art et des Lettres du Québec, The Canada Council, the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation and in 2016, was awarded the Brucebo Residency Fellowship Residency. Her work was featured in the Magenta Foundations Carte Blanche: A Survey of Canadian Painting and in 2012, she was a finalist in the RBC Painting Competition. Tetz’s paintings have been exhibited across Canada, Sweden and the United States.
