This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and handle your information when you use our Meta Quest VR application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Our App collects the following data through Meta's Platform Features, as disclosed in our Data Use Checkup (DUC) with Meta:
We collect your Meta Platform User ID. This is a unique identifier assigned to you by Meta that allows our App to:
Identify you within the App and across sessions
Save your preferences, progress, and in-app settings
Enable multiplayer or social features, if applicable
Prevent fraud and ensure platform security
We do not collect passwords, precise geolocation, biometric data, or any data beyond what is described in this policy.
Our App uses Meta's In-App Purchase (IAP) Platform Feature. Through this feature, the following data is collected and processed:
Purchase History: Records of items, content, or features purchased within the App.
Transaction Identifiers: Unique transaction IDs provided by Meta to verify and fulfill purchases.
Entitlement Status: Whether a user has purchased specific content, used to unlock purchased features.
This IAP data is used for the following purposes:
Purchase Fulfillment: To deliver and unlock content or features you have purchased.
Purchase Verification: To validate transactions and prevent fraudulent or duplicate purchase claims.
Restore Purchases: To restore previously purchased content if you reinstall the App or use a new device.
Customer Support: To assist you if you report a missing or incorrect purchase.
Important: MonkeGames does not directly process or store payment card details. All payment transactions are handled exclusively by Meta Platforms, Inc. through their secure payment infrastructure. Please refer to Meta's Privacy Policy at meta.com/privacy for details on how payment data is handled by Meta.
We use your User ID and IAP data solely for the following purposes:
Account Management: To create and maintain your in-app account and save your game/app progress.
Personalization: To remember your settings and preferences across sessions.
Purchase Fulfillment: To deliver, unlock, and restore content or features you have purchased through Meta's IAP system.
Security & Integrity: To detect and prevent unauthorized access, abuse, or fraudulent activity.
App Functionality: To enable core features of the App that require user identification or purchase verification.
We do not sell, rent, or share your User ID or any associated data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
We retain your User ID, IAP purchase history, and associated data for as long as you have an active account with our App, or as necessary to provide our services. If you request deletion of your data (see Section 6), we will delete your data within 30 days of receiving your request, unless we are required to retain it for legal or financial record-keeping obligations.
Your User ID may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:
Meta Platforms, Inc.: As required for operation within the Meta Quest ecosystem, your User ID is processed in accordance with Meta's own Privacy Policy (meta.com/privacy).
Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests.
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data collected by our App. To submit a data deletion request, you may use any of the following methods:
Email: Send a deletion request to privacy@monkegames.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include your Meta User ID or registered username.
In-App: Navigate to Settings > Account > Delete My Data within the App.
Meta Platform: You may also remove app permissions through your Meta account settings, which will trigger deletion of associated data.
Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will permanently delete your User ID and all associated data from our systems within 30 days, and confirm completion via email.
Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your User ID against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, where required, by notifying you through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
