Terms and Conditions for Mafia Game App

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Mafia Game App ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

If you are under 18 but at least 13, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. About the App

Mafia Game App is a party game that lets players play the classic Mafia/Werewolf social deduction game without a human moderator. The App offers:

Local Play — pass-and-play on a single device

Online Play — multiplayer with friends using room codes

The App is for entertainment purposes only.

3. Age Requirements

The App is intended for users aged 13 and over.

The App is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 should not use it.

The App contains no gambling, no depictions of violence, and no mature themes. The game theme involves the fictional "elimination" of characters, which is standard party-game mechanics.

Advertising in the App is limited to a Teen content rating.

4. Advertising

The App displays advertising provided by Google AdMob, including banner ads, full-screen ads shown between games, and optional rewarded videos that you may choose to watch in exchange for an in-game benefit (see Section 5).

Watching a rewarded video is always voluntary. Nothing in the App requires you to watch one.

Where required by law, the App will ask for your consent before ads are loaded.

Purchasing Premium removes all advertising.

We do not control the content of individual ads. Ads are served by Google, subject to Google's own policies.

5. Free Rewards

Some premium roles can be used without paying, for a limited time:

Earned roles. Watching a set number of optional videos (currently 20) unlocks one premium role of your choice for 30 days. Choosing a role you have already unlocked adds another 30 days to it.

Single-game unlocks. You can watch a video to use a premium role for one game. This is limited (currently to 5 times in any 30-day period, across all roles).

Invite rewards. Inviting friends can unlock all premium roles for a period, as described in Section 6.

The following applies to all free rewards:

Free rewards are promotional. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged, transferred, or refunded, and are not a purchase.

They are time-limited and end automatically when their period expires. Only a purchased Premium unlock is permanent.

Rewards that depend on videos require a video to be available. Videos are provided by Google, and we cannot guarantee one will always be available.

Video progress and earned roles are stored on your device. Uninstalling the App, clearing its data, or changing phones will lose them, and we are unable to restore them.

We may change the numbers above, or change, pause, or end any free reward at any time. Rewards you have already received continue until they expire, unless they were obtained in breach of these Terms.

6. Invite a Friend Programme

How it works. You can share an invite link or your invite code from the App. When a friend installs the App using your link (or enters your code) and then finishes their first game, you and your friend each receive access to all premium roles for 30 days. Each additional friend adds a further 30 days, up to a maximum of 90 days available at any one time.

Eligibility.

The invited friend must be a new player. Each phone can join through an invite only once, ever.

You cannot invite yourself, use your own code, or receive a reward for a phone you control.

The programme is available on Android through Google Play only.

If a friend does not install through your link, they can enter your code in the App before their first game is finished. We are not responsible if Google Play does not pass on the information from an invite link.

Fair use. Only send invites to people you know, and do not send spam or post invites anywhere that prohibits it. Creating fake installs, using emulators or multiple devices you control, or tampering with the App or our systems to obtain rewards is not allowed. If we believe rewards were obtained this way, we may remove them and exclude you from the programme.

Changes. We may change, suspend, or end the programme at any time. Rewards are subject to Section 5.

7. Purchases and Refunds

The App offers a one-time Premium unlock, which removes advertising and adds additional roles and unlimited saved player groups.

All payments are processed by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details.

Refunds are handled by Google Play in accordance with the Google Play refund policy, and by applicable consumer law. We do not process payments and therefore cannot issue refunds directly. Requests should be made through Google Play.

EU right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. Because the Premium unlock is delivered immediately, you expressly consent to immediate performance at the time of purchase and thereby lose that right of withdrawal, as permitted under Directive 2011/83/EU. This does not affect your rights where the content is faulty or not as described.

Premium is a one-time purchase tied to your Google account. It is not a subscription and does not recur.

Promotional or redeem codes, where offered, are single-use, hold no cash value, and may be withdrawn or expire at our discretion.

The Premium unlock grants a licence to use additional features. It does not transfer ownership of any part of the App to you.

If Premium features are unavailable due to a fault on our side, your remedy is limited as set out in Section 13.

8. User Conduct

You agree to:

Use appropriate display names

Play fairly and respectfully

Only share room codes and invites with people you know

Report bugs through the official channels

You agree not to:

Use offensive, inappropriate, or harmful display names

Attempt to hack, exploit, or abuse the App

Interfere with other players' enjoyment

Attempt to access data not intended for you

Attempt to circumvent, tamper with, or defraud the advertising, purchase, reward, or invite systems, including falsifying rewarded-video completions or invite records

Submit false, abusive, or spam reports to the bug tracker

Reverse engineer or modify the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by law

Use automated systems, bots, or scripts

Use the App for any illegal purpose

9. Online Play

Room codes are 4-digit numbers generated randomly. Only share a room code with people you intend to play with. You are responsible for who you share a room code with. Because codes are short, treat a room as semi-public rather than secret.

Display names must be appropriate for all players. Names containing profanity, hate speech, or inappropriate content are prohibited. We reserve the right to implement name filtering.

Fair play — play the game as intended. Do not exploit bugs or glitches. Please report any issues you discover.

Online Play is provided on a best-effort basis and is not currently receiving new features. Rooms expire automatically after a period of inactivity, and we may change or discontinue Online Play at any time.

10. Intellectual Property

Our rights. Mafia Game App and its content — code, design, graphics, sounds, and branding — are owned by us. This includes the crescent moon logo and the "Mafia Game" name.

Your rights. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App, or use our branding without permission.

Game concept. The Mafia/Werewolf game concept is a traditional party game in the public domain. Our specific implementation, design, and features are proprietary.

11. User-Generated Content

Display names. You are responsible for the display names you choose. We do not actively monitor names, but reserve the right to implement filtering, and inappropriate names may result in restricted access.

Bug reports and feature requests. Our bug tracker lets you submit reports and feature requests. Submissions are publicly visible. You are responsible for what you submit, and you must not include personal information about yourself or anyone else. By submitting, you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, use, edit, and act on your submission — for example, to fix a bug or build a feature — without any obligation or payment to you. We may edit, hide, or delete submissions at any time.

The App has no chat or messaging feature, and no photos, videos, or files can be shared.

12. Disclaimers

"As is" service. The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted service.

No guarantees. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, that it will always be available, that online features, rewarded videos, or invite rewards will work perfectly, or that it is compatible with every device.

Fixes arrive in updates. When a reported bug is fixed, the fix reaches you in a later App update, not immediately.

Game results. Game outcomes are determined by player choices and random role assignment. We are not responsible for disputes arising from gameplay. The App is for entertainment only.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

We are not liable for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill.

We are not responsible for the actions of other players.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid us for the App and its in-app purchases in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) €10.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, these Terms do not affect your mandatory statutory rights.

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mafia Game App and its developers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of others.

15. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services, each subject to its own terms:

Google Firebase App settings, online multiplayer, polls, redeem codes, invites, and bug reports

Google AdMob Advertising

Google Play App distribution, purchase processing, and invite links

RevenueCat Purchase verification and restore

Expo (EAS Hosting) Hosting the bug tracker web page

We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or content of these services. Your use of the App through an app store is additionally subject to that store's terms.

16. Updates and Changes

App updates. We may update the App at any time. Updates may add, modify, or remove features. Continued use after an update means acceptance of the change.

Terms updates. We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted, and the "Last Updated" date will change. Where changes are material, we will show a notice in the App. Continued use after that notice means acceptance of the new Terms.

17. Termination

By you. You may stop using the App at any time. Uninstalling removes the App and its local data.

By us. We may discontinue the App at any time, restrict access for breach of these Terms, or shut down online services with reasonable notice.

Effect. Online game data is deleted automatically. Local data remains until you uninstall. A validly purchased Premium unlock remains restorable through Google Play for as long as the App is available. Free rewards end when their period expires. Sections 10, 12, 13, 14, and 18 survive termination.

18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and the courts of Luxembourg City shall have jurisdiction, save as set out below.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, nothing in this section deprives you of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence (Regulation (EU) No 593/2008, "Rome I"). You may bring proceedings against us in the courts of your country of residence, and we may bring proceedings against you only in those courts (Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012, "Brussels I bis").

If you are a consumer resident outside the European Union, you likewise retain the benefit of any mandatory protections of your local law.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and all other provisions remain in full effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mafia Game App regarding use of the App.
