Yields Two Loaves
2 Cups Flour
2 Cups Maize Flour
1 1/3 Cups White Sugar
2 teaspoons salt
2 Tablespoons Baking Powder
2 Egg Substitutes *
2 Cups Milk of your choice
2/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
Vegan Egg Substitute
use in place of (1) egg
1 Tablespoon Flax
3 Tablespoon Cold Water
Mix thoroughly and set aside. Allow to set for 10 minutes before adding to your recipe.
Preheat oven to 400F
Grease 2 bread loaf pans with vegetable shortening and sprinkle with maize flour.
In a large bowl mix together all ingredients until just combined. Split batter evenly between both loaf pans.
Bake in preheated oven for 34-40mins on center rack. Check to make sure you can insert a toothpick to the center of the loaf and it comes out clean.
Allow to cool on cooling rack for 10 minutes, serve immediately or store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
