Vice President
Hi, I’m Gabby Kangume. I am a proud student at Minuteman High School, studying Early Education and Teaching. Currently, I serve as a Massachusetts Student Leader for Educators Rising and will represent the state at the 2025 Educators Rising National Conference.
I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners and am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where children can learn and grow. I work with all age groups, from infants to Pre-K, but my favorite group to work with is preschoolers.
After high school, I plan to major in Special Education and become an Elementary Special Education Teacher. As a Student Leader, one of my goals is to spread awareness about the incredible opportunities within Educators Rising and to help grow the program across Massachusetts. I'm also excited to help plan and improve next year’s state conference.
I am dedicated to leadership, service, and advocating for young children.
President
Hi, I’m Liberty McCloskey! I am an Early Education and Teaching student at Minuteman High School in Lexington! I am proud to say I am currently a Massachusetts Student Leader for Educators Rising and National Representative!
I joined Early Education to make a difference in a child’s day. I love being able to shape young minds and cultivate a safe environment. My favorite age group is preschool! I enjoy bringing things from my daily life into the classroom. When I am not in the classroom, I am playing Volleyball, Basketball, or listening to music.
After high school, I am hoping to adventure to California to study psychology. In the end, I am hoping to become an Emergency Department psychologist. As a student leader, I cannot wait to meet more rising educators and grow the organization in Massachusetts!
