My name is Lalaine Mae Byrd; you can call me "Mae". I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts and learning journey as a student in Boise State's Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning (OPWL) program.

I am passionate about designing and implementing innovative learning experiences. My educational background is in Human Factors Engineering. Over the course of my career, I've had the opportunity to work in a variety of different roles, including Industrial Engineer, Small Business Owner, Change Management Consultant, Instructor, and Business Process Improvement Manager. Currently, I am a Senior Instructional Designer for Red Hat.

Originally from the Chicago area, I currently live in Cypress, Texas with my husband, 3 young kids (Jack-7, Addie-5, Calvin-3), and 2 old dogs (Bailey-12, Wrigley-10).
